Bio
I am a qualified mediator, successfully completing the Certificate in Mediation, QQI Award, Level 8, accredited by Griffith College. With a background in insurance claims, I bring a long & successful track record in the claims industry to my work as a mediator. I have vast experience working, in both private lines and commercial claims, being heavily involved in pre-litigated and litigated claims.

I have a Business Management & Information Systems Degree from Dublin Business School, and subsequently achieved ‘The Higher Diploma in Insurance Management’, Level 8 Qualification.
Experience
I am an experienced negotiator dealing with many complex claims in the last 16 years. I have worked with clients in the retail, food, transport, and telecommunications sectors, liaising between the Plaintiff & defense solicitors’ along with clients with the focus to bring the dispute to a resolution. As part of my role I gather information whilst liaising colleagues in the field, with a view to bringing closure to the matter.

I bring additional skillsets and competency to my work as a mediator, having technical knowledge and management skills; including critical thinking, report writing, research and problem-solving around liability & personal injury actions. During my career in the insurance field, I have assisted in the resolution of many disputes involving our clients and the Plaintiffs solicitors. That specialist experience means that I have an in depth understanding of the complex issues and can assist clients as a mediator in the many disputes that can arise in the workplace and assist with identifying workable solutions. My prior work experience has given me an understanding that whether settling or defending a claim a better outcome is likely achieved where a solution can be identified as early as possible.
